To complement the City 2035 plan and the Choice Neighborhood Initiative Plan, the Lower North Philadelphia Community Development Corporation (LNPCDC) came forth to ensure low/middle income residents and small businesses desiring to live and operate businesses in the Brewerytown Sharswood community are provided the opportunity to do so.
LNPCDC aims to increase access to affordable housing opportunities, while also increasing and stewarding the development of thriving businesses and healthy commercial corridors within the neighborhoods where we operate.
LNPCDC is working to support the economic development of the community while increasing the financial stability and viability of the area’s potential small business operators; especially entrepreneurs of color and immigrants, who typically have larger hurdles in accessing credit and meaningful technical assistance.
Our Vision
Our vision is to build a community which is safe and welcoming to all, and which has a healthy mix of incomes, family types and ages that live in quality, affordable housing as well as assist in the revitalizing of an underdeveloped business corridor.
The vision includes ensuring that children have access to high quality early childhood education, high performing schools and college-career options.
About the Founder
The Lower North Philadelphia Community Development Corporation was created as the transactional arm of the Brewerytown Sharswood Community Civic Association (BSCCA) to implement programs and actions relating to housing.
