Help out the local community by supporting our advocacy here at Lower North Philadelphia Community Development Corporation. We are a nonprofit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, dedicated to helping the people so they can live better lives.

The Lower North Philadelphia CDC covers communities that area connected east to west from Broad Street to 33rd Street and north to south Montgomery to Poplar. Lower North Philadelphia CDC aims to improve:

Affordable Housing – A consensus vision and realistic plan addressing the Housing, People and Neighborhood is addressed in this plan. Mitigating the impact of the recently imploded public high-rise development with human scale, affordable and sustainable housing.

Economic Development – This Brewerytown/Sharswood area has the highest rate of recidivism in the city of Philadelphia; therefore, a different approach must be developed to enable returning citizens the opportunity to be a part of the economy.

Safe, Healthy, Clean Green Space – There are many vacant lots in the vicinity; few are used to benefit the environment or quality of life for the surrounding community. Many of the lots are illegal dumping grounds for trash, old beds, and construction debris. The community wants sitting parks and gardens that will conform to the aesthetic of the new housing project proposed by the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) through the Transformation Plan.
